Embedded Engineering

When you need another strong engineer in the team rather than a project delivered, we embed in your codebase and your process and deliver like a full-time hire, for a crunch, a gap between hires, or however long the work runs.

  • Working in your codebase, your stack, and your process, not off to the side
  • Picking up real tickets and shipping them, from feature work to the maintenance nobody enjoys
  • Standups, code review, and planning like any other senior on the team
  • Senior judgement that raises the bar quietly, instead of adding to your backlog

What this is

Some weeks you do not need a project delivered or a strategy deck. You need one more strong engineer in the room, this week, working down the backlog everyone already has too much of. That is this. We join your team as embedded engineers and behave like part of it, because for the length of the engagement we are.

Your repo, your stack, your rituals: standups, review, planning, the lot. You point us at the work and we ship it, the same as anyone else on the team, with the one difference that you can bring us on in days and scale us back the moment the crunch is over.

How we work

We integrate rather than parachute. We learn your codebase and your conventions before we start bending them, write code that reads like your team wrote it, and leave reviews and documentation that make the next person's morning easier. The aim is to raise the bar quietly, not to repaint everything in our own colours.

The shape flexes to what you need: full-time through a hard stretch, or a steady few days a week to keep momentum. Either way you get real output and engineers who can take a problem and own it, without being managed through it.

Good fit if

  • You are behind, between hires, or mid-crunch, and need someone who is useful in week one, not week six.
  • You want engineers who work inside your process and your code, not a vendor posting a black box over the wall.
  • You would rather bring on a trusted engineer than spend three months hiring, onboarding, and hoping it works out.

Sound like the shape of your problem?
